Microsoft SharePoint Technologies

Lux was an early adapter of Microsoft SharePoint technologies, recognizing that they provide the information-management capabilities that our clients require. SharePoint technologies help us create portals, improve collaboration, and facilitate communication for a wide variety of clients with diverse needs. After years of working with SharePoint, we have become a leader in SharePoint customization and implementation, and our SharePoint projects have been so successful that Microsoft awarded us the opportunity to create original design templates for SharePoint 2007.

One of our priorities is educating our clients about SharePoint. We pride ourselves on being able to create custom solutions to meet clients' current needs and then show them how these solutions can be leveraged when new challenges arise.

Some of our past SharePoint projects include:

Microsoft Halo 3 We created the intranet site for the Halo 3 marketing team with a highly customized design that employs imagery from the game. We also integrated streaming server functionality and merged multiple portals into one to maximize site capacity.
Microsoft DriveTime We developed the popular DriveTime audio portal, an internal Microsoft sales training tool that allows users to query, catalogue, and subscribe to content and have it delivered on CD or electronic format.
Microsoft Vista We built a highly customized user interface for the internal Vista Velocity website, the delivery channel for corporate product marketing to worldwide field sales and regional marketing groups. It offers a highly customized user interface and uses XML and XSL to dynamically render frequently updated content.
MSWeb We worked extensively with MSWeb, Microsoft's internal primary information portal. In addition to creating their SharePoint site, we provided daily publishing support, ran quality assurance checks, and assisted the development team in planning for new site features and functionality.

We have also designed intranets and portals for a variety of Microsoft projects and teams including their internal market research portal, the SQL Group, the Mobile Devices Group, the Enterprise Product Group, and IWAG.
