This fourteen day adventure begins in the Reykjavik in Iceland, the world’s most northern capital city. An energetic metropolis filled with sights and sounds, the city is regarded as the site of the first settlement in Iceland and remains as the cultural centre, sights such as National and University Library of Iceland and the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa well worth seeing before your adventure continues on day two.

On the second day you’ll fly from Reykjavik to the Northern Iceland town of Akureyri, the perfect place to set sail to Greenland from. On this first day of the journey across the frigid seas you will see seabirds and whales in the ice specked waters, welcoming you to the stunning sights of the north and the unique natural splendour that call this area its home. Day three sees the voyage take you through the Denmark Strait, one of the most iconic stretches on the way to Greenland where the onboard Expedition Team will tell you tales of the country’s history, geography and wildlife and help you to learn more about the area before you arrive on Greenland’s shores.

Once landing in this incredible landscape you will spend the next four days exploring the fjords and colourful tundra of Greenland’s National Park, a breathtaking natural beauty spot filled with skulking arctic fox and roaming herds of muskoxen, geological wonders and memorable sights that will help your adventure become one to remember forever.

Whilst here you will see the Northern Lights in their full glory, spending the starry nights viewing the beautiful shimmering green waves and taking as many photos as you can to treasure forever. You will also have the chance to visit Ittoqqortoormiit, an Inuit settlement where the traditional way of life and living off the land has been preserved and unchanged for the people, keeping it exactly the same as it has been for hundreds of years without influences from the outside world.

Then heading to Scorsbysund on day eight, the expedition then carries on for the next few days in the Scorsbysund Fjord, an incredibly vast system of rivulets and crystal clear waters that are often considered the most beautiful in the entire world. A mesmeric web of natural waters that are great for hiking around to soak in the stunning sights, after leaving Scorsbysund Fjord you will then head back to a ship to sail the Denmark Strait once more, taking a couple of days to whale watch and see the incredible marine life which include white beaked dolphins and humpback, minke and even blue whales. Keen birdwatchers will also enjoy seeing kittiwakes, gannets, guillemots, fulmars and razorbills flying through these waters, serenading the ship with their cries as they swoop through the skies above.

Once arriving back in Reykjavik you will get the chance to explore this vibrant city once again before getting your final flights home, allowing you to get used to civilisation once more before returning to your life with an experience that will be treasured for a lifetime.
